About us

Eightyseven Architecture is a practice of creative and experienced architects, based in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Our work responds to the particular qualities, conditions and nuances of each project and its location. We believe that good design enriches people's lives and this underpins our outlook.

We recognise that every client and site is unique. Regardless of scale we apply the same care and attention in providing a personal architectural service sensitive to your aims and financial considerations. In our approach we blend together your thoughts and ideas, together with our own design expertise to create buildings, spaces and homes that add value and bring enjoyment.

All building processes involve natural resources and their extraction. To build sustainably, we believe in a holistic response to construction that uses resources responsibly to create enduring built environments that balance considerations of longevity, performance, adaptability and reuse.

People

Conrad Wiedermann brings clear design direction to our projects and is especially insightful in developing clients' aims and ambitions. Conrad's experience, knowledge and careful consideration of materials and construction is an invaluable aspect of the practice and his keen eye often elevates the ordinary, and highlights the overlooked. Based in Edinburgh, Conrad compliments his work as an architect with producing beautiful cabinetry and furniture pieces, including larger structures. Conrad has also lectured in architecture and worked as lead studio tutor at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture.

Alexander Cameron graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2013 and has since held positions within a number of architectural practices, including at one of Scotland's leading architectural firms. Alexander's experience covers an array of projects including lead roles in private residential houses and extensions, social housing, community projects and listed buildings. Alexander's personal drawings have been included in a number of exhibitions and he enjoys developing this aspect of his practice as an architect. Alexander is our main point of contact for the Glasgow area.
